History of video games:

The history of video games began in the 1950s and 1960s as computer scientists began designing simple games and simulations on mainframe computers. The early 1970s brought the first consumer-ready video game hardware. In the 1990s, the ability to perform real-time polygonal 3D graphic rendering from further advancements in computer microprocessors was introduced. From the year 2000 till this day, the industry is shifted its focus on gaming on smartphones and tablets which are considered handheld consoles.
